3rd annual FArm to Table Dinner: Friday July 13th 6:00pm-8:00pm

Local growers, ranchers, chefs, and winemakers come together in Downtown Hillsboro each year to showcase their finest offerings. This year, the feast will be held at Collective Kitchen in a romantic outdoor setting on the grounds of the historic Donaldson house with an intimate opportunity to meet and hear the stories of local food artisans that make Hillsboro unique. Come and enjoy an exquisite 5-course plated meal crafted by Hillsboro's best chefs, inspired by amazing home-grown produce, meats, and dairy; served on beautiful locally hand-made stoneware.  The proceeds of this ticketed event will benefit the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership, a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2014 with the mission to cultivate and promote a vibrant historical downtown- the heart of Hillsboro. Aaron Nichols of Stoneboat Farms

Aaron is a farmer and chef, coming from the cullinary side and wanting to produce the best quality veggies and make exceptional food. He has degrees in anthropology and religion from Oberlin. He first learned horse-farming skills in upstate New York volenteering on the Good Life Farm. Aaron's 10 years of chef experience and the amazing vegetables he and his brother, Jesse, grow at Stoneboat Farms mean that you will be getting a special experience where in this case, the chef is also the farmer!

Jimmy Le of The Other Chef

After 6 years of active duty in the US Army, Jimmy turned to his childhood passion of food into a career. He attended culinary school in his hometown of New Orleans, LA. He worked at esteemed establishments like the Ritz-Carlton, The Roosevelt Hotel, Brennan's, and for chefs Susan Spicer and Troy Deano. In 2013, Jimmy moved to Hillsboro and started The Other Chef. He is a vendor of the Hillsboro Farmer's market, a Collective Kitchen cooking instructor, and private chef. He is also part of the Prostart culinary arts program at local high schools.

Mindy Simmons of Decadent Creations Bakery

Mindy Simmons, Hillsboro resident since 2003, is the baker & owner of Decadent Creations Bakery in downtown Hillsboro, which opened in the remodeled historical Donaldson house in June of 2017. Simmons started Decadent Creations as a one-woman-show at the Hillsboro Farmer's markets in 2010.

In 2013 and 2014, she won 'Best in Show' at Porltand's ChocolateFest for her famous Salty Dog Chocolate Cake. In 2015 in New York, Simmons was crowned champion of the hit Food Network show, "Chopped", in a special chocolate-themed episode called, "Chocolate Rush".

Simmons also owns Collective Kitchen classrooom and commissary kitchen in Hillsboro where she teaches baking classes to the public from macarons to homemade ice cream.

Larry Rivera of Boro Burger

Larry has spent 20 years in the food industry as a cook, caterer, chef instructor for Oregon Cullinary Institute, restaurant consultant, and has worked for French master chef, Pascal Sauton. He currently owns Boro Burger Food Truck in Hillsboro and loves puppies and good Bourbon!
