Join us for a discussion on the art, history, science, and technique of making mead. Mead is quite possibly the first fermented beverage brewed up by our ancestors, and it’s pretty tasty too!

In this class we will be learning a no-boil technique that requires minimal equipment and brewing time. We will also be infusing a couple batches of mead with seasonal fruits, herbs, and spices while discussing the wide variety of flavors that you can add to your finished mead. We'll cover the logistics of brewing, with a focus on sanitation and the mechanics of bottling and moving liquids.

You will leave the class with knowledge, hands-on experience, and (3) 11-ounce bottles of Mead (1 plain and 2 that we infuse in class). Additionally, after the batch we brew in class is done fermenting, I'll bottle it up and get you (2) 750ml bottles of the mead you helped to make.
